Episode 55 | Elisabeth Farris

Elisabeth Farris | Elisabeth and Butter

OK so we were so excited to get to interview the baking beauty Elisabeth Farris of the baking blog, @elisabethandbutter. Sarah has been following her for some time now and would always show me (courtney) the stunning pictures that Elisabeth was posting- from her beautiful kitchen to her parties, to the incredible painted cookies she made. We are big time fans.

She was just as charming as we knew she would be when we got to interview her. It’s always fun to hear people’s stories of how they got started in their craft. Some of them fall into it by virtual mistake, others grew up in the business. Elisabeth seemed to always possess a love for baking. So much so that she quit all of her after school activities and wanted to bake. You’ll hear that she made her first wedding cake at sixteen. SIXTEEN! I barely got my bangs curled before school at sixteen!

Elisabeth and butter was born in while Elisabeth was in college at Auburn University. Her following grew as she posted pictures of her baking, and after a job i event planning she decided to pursue her blog and baking full time.

After a move to 30A with her husband she began her cookie classes and began diving more into her recipes and stemming off from just cookies. She wants people to be comfortable in their kitchen- to use their baked goods to bless others.

Hope you enjoy this sweet chat with our new friend, Elisabeth Farris.
